Emmanuel Calligeris

Emmanuel has a Bachelor of Economics and Masters Banking & Finance and is Chairman of the CARE Investment Committee. Emmanuel has over 25 years in investment and financial markets experience primarily in funds management and investment research. He has in-depth knowledge of investment market operations across all asset classes including equities, fixed interest, property, alternative assets and cash.

His previous roles included Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of OptiMiz, the multi manager unit of ANZ/OnePath, previously ING Investment Management. He held the CIO role between 1995 and 2013.

Emmanuel’s CIO role included manager selection, macro-economic analysis and implementation, asset allocation, risk management, investment committee policy formulation, business development and business management.

Prior to 1995, Emmanuel held various roles at Optimix, Sydney Futures Exchange, Devon Systems (a SunGard company), Australian Gilt Securities, Bankers Trust Australia and Kellog Australia. These roles focused on funds management, macro-economic analysis, fixed interest, futures trading and dealing.
